Back in the fall T got a part in his high school’s fall production of Parade. While it was a minor speaking role in the musical, it was fun for him to be involved, started some great friendships, and gave us some insight to hosting a student who is involved and doesn’t have friends who are old enough to drive. K and I balanced picking him up every night and T had to learn to balance schoolwork and activities, not an easy thing considering they made him an 11th grader, the toughest year in school.
The winter production was much lighter, they put on Dora the Explorer (a pirate adventure) and Tom knew from the minute they started talking about it that what he wanted, more than anything, was the role of Swiper.
And he got it.
And he nailed it.
